How can I candy ants?

Hi guys :) So, my boyfriend and I were laying in the woods one afternoon. We were letting ants crawl on our hands and such. So I dared him to eat one. He did. I also ate one. Anyway, after that I got an idea to candy ants, much like you would pecans or peanuts. I was wondering if anyone would know if this is possible, and if so whether or not I would candy them like any other thing; with butter and sugar in a pan. Thank you :)
